Auli is a small ski destination in Uttarakhand's Garhwal Himalaya, reached by a cable car (ropeway) from the town of Joshimath below. Its slopes and views toward peaks including Nanda Devi make it a winter-sports base, while outside ski season it's visited more for the ropeway ride and mountain views.
