Gujarat's circuits typically combine a few distinct regions: the Rann of Kutch, a vast white salt desert best known for the Rann Utsav festival season; Dwarka and Somnath, two of Gujarat's most significant temple towns; Gir National Park, the only place in the world with a wild population of the Asiatic lion; and Ahmedabad, Gujarat's largest city and a common start or end point. Most Ghumega India itineraries combine two or three of these.
November–February is the most popular window, coinciding with the cooler, dry season and the Rann Utsav festival at the Rann of Kutch. March–June gets hot, especially inland, and July–September is monsoon season.
A focused Kutch trip works in 3–4 nights. Combining Kutch with Dwarka and Somnath, or adding a Gir safari, typically extends to 5–7 nights.
Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is the main gateway, with onward road travel to Kutch (roughly 5–6 hours to Bhuj), Dwarka, Somnath and Gir. Rajkot's airport is also used as a closer entry point for Kutch and Gir-focused itineraries.
